ABOUT
Ami is a warm and engaging clinical psychologist. She strives to help people get to the bottom of what drives their suffering, moving towards emotional growth and lasting change. She works with a compassionate and intuitive approach well suited towards those experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, stressful or traumatic life events, and problem around self-esteem or self-sabotaging behaviours.

She has practiced widely across health and community settings including The Royal Women’s Hospital, The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, The Royal Children’s Hospital, and The University of Melbourne.

Ami is particularly interested in using evidence-based and experiential techniques that go beyond traditional talk therapy. Ami utilises Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) which can help access suppressed emotions, regulate anxiety, and let go of unhelpful strategies that no longer serve a person. She aims to help with self-understanding, improved communication, and stronger relationships, ultimately leading to decreased suffering and more enjoyment in life.
